Included Parts for Both ST and LX Models:
Each product includes the following parts:
- 1 Chrome Under Cap
- 1 Black Under Cap
- 3 Resin Inner Sleeves (for Ø8-10 mm, Ø12 mm, Ø14 mm)
- 9 Fixing Screws (M3, with lengths of 4 mm, 6 mm, and 8 mm; 8 mm screws are spares)
- 1 L-shaped Hex Wrench for Fixing Screws
Note: The 8 mm long screw can be shortened and used as a substitute for the 4 mm or 6 mm screws.
How to Install the Product:
- Remove the original shift knob.
- Place the product's under cap (chrome or black) inside the stock shaft.
- Secure the included resin inner sleeve that matches the stock shaft diameter.
- The end of the resin inner sleeve with the numbers (10, 12, 14) should face upward.
- The resin inner sleeve is not screw-fixed; the screws will create threads in the sleeve.
- The sleeve prevents the shift knob from shaking when secured with the screws.
- Slide the shift knob over the stock shaft.
- Use the included screws to fix the shift knob onto the stock shaft.
- Do not secure the screws through the resin sleeve.
- Fix the three screws directly onto the stock shaft for stability.
- Secure the under cap to the fixed shift knob.
Note: Since the under cap is fixed with screws, the stock shaft must be centered inside the product for proper installation. Be careful when positioning the shift knob. Leave around 30 mm of space below the fixed shift knob for the under cap during installation.
After installation, check the shift knob's functionality in all positions, especially in the P and 1 ranges, to ensure there is no contact with the shift base.
The fixing screws may loosen over time with use, so regularly check and tighten them as needed using the provided L-shaped wrench. Keep the spare screws in the vehicle for convenience.
Additional Information:
The inner sleeve depth is approximately 85 mm. If the stock shaft is longer than 120 mm, the fixed position may be higher.
Conversely, if the stock shaft is shorter (around 100 mm), you may need to cut the lower part of the resin inner sleeve to avoid interference with the fixing screws. Use a cutter carefully during this process.
The fixing position can be adjusted for your preferred height.
Use of Included Screws:
- For Ø8 mm or Ø10 mm stock shafts, use the 6 mm screws.
- For Ø8 mm shafts, shortening an 8 mm screw to 7 mm may provide a more secure fit.
- For Ø12 mm or Ø14 mm stock shafts, use the 4 mm screws.
