Honda NSX debuted in 1990 as a mid‑engined, rear‑wheel‑drive Japanese sports car. It was one of the first production cars to use an all‑aluminium monocoque chassis and a naturally aspirated V6 with VTEC, making it fast, light and precise. The earlier NA1 models used a 3.0 litre V6 and five‑speed gearbox, while later NA2 cars had a 3.2 litre V6 and six‑speed manual, both capable of around 168 mph and a 0–62 mph time under six seconds. The lightweight, driver‑focused NSX‑R variants pushed the performance further with stiffer suspension and weight‑saving measures that made them revered by enthusiasts.
